Thirty Years of Trust

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the Banque du Liban launched its 30 years commemoration coin.

The Central Bank of Lebanon was inaugurated on the 31st of March 1964. The main objective of the Central Bank is to ensure solid and permanent economic and social growth. The tasks of the Central Bank are as follows:

Safeguarding the Lebanese currency.
Safeguarding economic stability.
Safeguarding the stability of the national banking system.

The Central Bank cooperates with the Government and acts as its advisor as far as economic policies are concerned.

The Central Bank enjoys full authority to take any measure deemed necessary to fulfill its main task and is not subject to the laws governing the public sector. The Central Bank of Lebanon is managed by a Governor, four Vice-Governors and a Central Board Committee.

Banque du Liban has designed this memorial medal (75mm radius/Bronze). Medal was produced by Monnaie de Paris company.
